NEW COMMUNITY HUB TO OPEN IN PRINCESS SQUARE
A new community hub will be opening its doors in October 2022 in Princess Square.
The centre, named Vsi Razom, which means ‘all together’ in Ukrainian will offer specific support and help to local Ukrainians as well as the wider community.
The Vsi Razom Community Hub is the brainchild of two local women, Ashleigh Toomey and Natalia Vil, who teamed up at the start of the war in Ukraine to transport donated items to Ukraine.
As Ukrainians began to come to the borough, they wanted a way to continue their support but also to help the local community as a whole.
Ashleigh Toomey says:
“We have been overwhelmed by the support of the local community to our Ukrainian appeal and wanted to find a way to continue to help Ukrainians new to the area that could benefit other people too. We are really grateful for the support from Kerith Community Church, The Lexicon and Bracknell Forest Council for enabling the Vsi Razom Community Hub to open.”
The community hub will offer a welcoming place for groups to meet, advisor sessions, English lessons, pre-loved clothing and additional services as the centre evolves.
The community hub is looking for volunteers to help keep the centre open for longer and donations of furniture, clothes, toys and other items that might be helpful for families.

“It’s been a joy to see the commitment & dedication that Natalia & Ashleigh have put into supporting the people of Ukraine these past few months. We are delighted that we have been able to support them in acquiring premises to continue to provide help both overseas & locally. We believe the new community hub will be a lifeline for many local Ukrainian families seeking support, advice, practical help & friendship & we look forward to seeing families welcomed in on opening day!”
