All aboard The Lexicon Express

Now a permanent attraction

Due to popular demand, The Lexicon Express is now a permanent feature at The Lexicon. Originally introduced as a seasonal attraction, the colourful train has become a visitor favourite and will now operate year-round, every day.

The trackless land train is a fun and relaxing way to explore The Lexicon, offering rides for just £1 per person per trip (card payment only).

Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said:

We’ve been delighted by the incredible response to The Lexicon Express.  It’s created many special moments for local families and visitors — and we’re thrilled to now offer it daily as part of The Lexicon experience.

The Lexicon Express is powered by electricity, offering a quiet, eco-friendly ride. It also includes an accessible space for wheelchair users.  

The Lexicon Express will start and finish outside M&S and Amorino on The Avenue.

Monday to Friday - 10am to 3pm
Saturday - 10am to 4pm
Sunday - 11am to 4pm

By boarding, you agree to the following terms for everyone’s safety and enjoyment:

SAFETY & CONDUCT

• Ride at your own risk.
• Children must be supervised.
• Stay seated; keep hands and belongings inside.
• No boarding or exiting while moving.
• Standing is not allowed during motion.
• Ask staff for boarding assistance if needed.

LIABILITY

• We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage due to ignored safety rules.

PERSONAL ITEMS

• Secure belongings. We’re not responsible for lost or damaged items.
• Buggies may be left at the unmanned buggy park on The Avenue at your own risk.

PROHIBITED ON BOARD

• No smoking, vaping, or alcohol.

• Routes and schedules may change without notice.
