In light of the unprecedented situation presented by COVID-19, we have decided to cancel our planned Easter activity. This decision was not taken lightly but public health must be a priority. We are closely following government and NHS guidelines and we will re-arrange a similar activity later in the year, when appropriate and safe to do so.
The Lexicon has today unveiled its programme of activities taking place in the town centre during the Easter break.
Back by popular demand is the Easter Express, giving visitors the chance to hop on board this fabulous land train for a ride around the town centre, starting and finishing outside Fenwick.
Running from Monday, April 6 to Sunday, April 19 2020 from 11am to 5pm (excl Easter Sunday, 12 April), all monies raised from the suggested fare of £1.00 will be donated to The Lexicon Charity Fund.
And for young budding gardeners, The Lexicon’s Spring Garden, will open from Monday April 6 – Thursday April 9 and Tuesday April 14 to Friday April 17 2020 from 10am to 5pm, with a host of activities on offer from green fingered crafts, interactive storytelling and flower pot planting.
Suitable for children aged between three and ten, tickets for The Spring Garden, cost £3.00 per child, including a trip on The Easter Express. As with The Easter Express, all monies raised from ticket sales will be donated to The Lexicon Charity Fund.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says: “We’re so excited to be bringing back The Easter Express as it has previously proved to be so popular with visitors of all ages. The Spring Garden will provide a range of different activities in one session and one place, for younger visitors giving parents a little break from shopping.”
