THE LEXICON SUMMER PROMS
The Lexicon Summer Proms returns to Bond Square in Bracknell town centre on Saturday, September 7 2024.
From 12.00 midday until 7.00 pm visitors to the town centre, will be able to sit on the giant steps in Bond Square, and enjoy a fabulous afternoon of entertainment featuring an array of talented performers, including lots of local acts and stars from further afield.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon says:
“Our annual proms event has become a highlight of our summer activity, which this year falls on our seventh birthday. We hope that the array of different acts we have performing this year, will appeal to a wide audience, with something to get everyone’s toes tapping.”
At 12.00 midday the show will open with the fantastic Get Gospel Choir, singing a range of classic and contemporary gospel tunes, original versions of pop songs and old hymns.
Back by popular demand at 12.45 pm is EBOS Musical Theatre, putting their own spin on songs from some of the nation’s top musicals.
Following at 1.55 pm local acapella group The Avenue take to the stage, with their deliciously distinctive renditions of popular tunes.
Next-up at 2.10 pm is local band, The Mustard, with indie rock at its core creating a unique style of 80’s inspired, energetic music.
Fans of Elton John, won’t want to miss tribute band This One’s For You, who will be performing sing-along classics at 3.05 pm.
At 4.00 pm local favourites, the Vocalese Choir will entertain with a wide range of favourite toe-tapping pop songs.
Britain’s Got Talent finalist, Innocent is performing next at 4.35 pm. Innocent’s powerful operatic performance is sure to generate an emotional response.
At 5.00 pm, the stage will welcome local country duo The Country Club, bringing modern country hits with a twist and classic country favourites.
And finally, at 5.45 pm, the show concludes with The Boulevards, a vintage-style rock and roll band, performing the biggest and best hits from the 1950s and early 60s.
