Christmas 2025 at The Lexicon

Christmas will come to life at The Lexicon on Friday, November 21, 2025, with the return of the town centre’s festive lights. Santa will appear at the top of an eight-metre double-decker red bus to turn on the lights at 5.30pm.

Opening the following day, Saturday, November 22, Santa’s Grotto will return to The Lexicon, set in the heart of a beautiful winter forest. Friendly fauns and cheerful elves will guide families through a festive adventure featuring enchanting storytelling and a captivating hologram show on the journey to Santa’s woodland grotto.

As part of the festive lights, a glittering gift selfie station will provide the perfect photo backdrop. Visitors will have the chance to share their photos and enter The Lexicon’s ‘Snap, Tag and Share’ competition throughout the festive period.

The Lexicon Express will be lit with dazzling fairy lights, offering a charming way to take in the sights of the season. Families can also take part in the free Christmas Trail by picking up a leaflet and searching for the special presents hidden in windows around the town centre for the chance to win one of three £50 gift cards from The Lexicon.

The much-loved Festive Market will return to The Lexicon, with picturesque wooden huts offering a selection of unique gifts, delicious food and warming drinks.

Visitors can look forward to plenty of live music and seasonal entertainment, including the Schools Carol Concert at Union Square on December 14 from 2pm.

The Lexicon will be spreading even more festive cheer with a fabulous Christmas Giveaway launching on December 1 via its website.

Tom Henderson, centre director at The Lexicon, says:

“Christmas at The Lexicon is always such a magical time of year, and we’re delighted to welcome families back to experience the return of our festive lights and Santa’s Grotto.  With so many festive activities taking place, there really is something for everyone to enjoy and get into the Christmas spirit.”
