The Remake Project

Published 17 March 2026

In collaboration with four local schools, The Remake Project aims to raise awareness of recycling and sustainability, in a fun and creative way.

The four schools, Winkfield St Mary’s, Holly Spring, Ascot Health and The Pines, will be using materials otherwise destined for landfill to transform four old sculpture bases into vibrant new artworks. The four sculpture bases were first used by The Lexicon in 2018 and, instead of being sent to landfill, were kept and stored so they could be reused for future projects such as this.

We are looking for a variety of items which can be re-cycled in order to re-dress the sculptures.  Customers have been asked to drop these items off at Shopmobility in Princess Square which is open from Tuesday to Saturday between 10am to 4pm.

Our sustainability project in partnership with The Lexicon builds on Winkfield St Mary's - being outdoors and providing opportunities such as these helps children to explore, ask questions, and develop a real sense of care for the world around them.

This project supports our school vision of living life in all its fullness by empowering children to become advocates for positive change and to understand how their actions can make a meaningful difference to their community and beyond"

To re-dress the squirrel we are looking for the following items:- Artificial flowers / CD’s

"Through this project, our children can showcase their understanding of sustainability and take pride in contributing to something that promotes positive change.  As a school, we are committed to offering a rich and diverse curriculum that prepares our children for each next step in their lives. Teaching kindness, responsibility, and respect for the environment is central to this.

By engaging in The Lexicon Remake Project, we are supporting our pupils in developing lifelong values and helping them recognise the importance of protecting the world we share"
