A CELEBRATION FIT FOR A KING
The Lexicon and Bracknell Forest Council have teamed up to host a number of activities in the town centre to mark the historic occasion of The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III. The Coronation Celebrations, taking place on Saturday May 6 and Sunday May 7 2023, aim to bring the community together for a weekend of fun, entertainment and community spirit.
To start the celebratory weekend, on Saturday, visitors are invited to Bond Square to watch the Coronation ceremony on a live screen from 11am, followed by an afternoon of live music and dance until 7pm.
There will be free facepainting, opportunity to enjoy a glass of pimms or if you prefer strawberries and cream and throughout the day, visitors will be entertained by a fabulous line-up of performers, hosted by local musical impresario Richard Whennell:-

The celebrations continue with a Coronation Tea Dance being held in Princess Square on Sunday 7 May between 11am and 12noon and again from 2pm until 3pm.
At the Tea Dance, shoppers can pause for a while and join in the dancing led by KL Dance Steps. Spectators and participants alike can enjoy a free cup of tea or coffee provided by Starbucks. There will also be delicious free Coronation Crown biscuits (while stocks last)
Performing at the Tea Dance will be the ‘Una Noche’ Duo comprising of female and male vocals and piano, who will have you dancing in no time. The activity is free but donations to The Lexicon Charity Fund will be welcome.
