Eleven local children are celebrating today after being announced as winners of The Lexicon’s annual Christmas Art competition.
This year, children were asked to create a fun, festive Christmas stocking design, with the added attraction of the winning entries being showcased in the town centre.
From more than 1,100 entries, young artist Amie, aged 8, from Nine Mile Ride Primary School, was chosen as the winner of the competition with her super festive green stocking, decorated with snowflakes and reindeer. In addition to a £50 Gift Card from The Lexicon, Amie has won £200 worth of Giotto art products for her school, and a Giotto set including coloured pencils and felt pens to use at home.
Second-placed Neve aged 9 has won a £25 gift card and a Giotto art pack for Ascot Heath Primary School, and a Giotto set to use at home, for her distinctive, colourful Christmas scene design.
Nine runners-up will also receive a £10 Gift Card from The Lexicon:

This year’s winning designs will be displayed as part of the new Christmas Stocking Tree in Braccan Walk, opposite Office.
