The Lexicon will be making Christmas wishes turn into reality for eight people in the run-up to Christmas Day.

Visitors to The Lexicon submitted more than 200 Christmas requests for loved ones in a giant post box located in the town centre, with creative workshops also being held for children to help them design and write a card.

One of the wishes granted was from India Winfield, aged 6. India nominated her Grandparents as a thank you for looking after her after-school when her parents are at work. India loves having chocolate milk and biscuits with her Grandparents so The Lexicon have gifted her an M&S hamper which she can give to them.

Toby Franklin, aged 8, asked to treat his Dad to the cinema to see the new Star Wars film – The Last Jedi. The Lexicon will be granting Toby’s wish and send them both to Cineworld to enjoy the film in the 4DX 3D experience.

Four more wishes will be granted by The Lexicon for special mums who were all nominated by their children to deserve an extra recognition this Christmas. All mums will receive a gift card from The Lexicon to treat themselves.

The Lexicon will also be organising two special shopping trips for a girl, aged 15 and for a granny, aged 90, who deserve an extra special treat this year.

Sue Boor, head of marketing for The Lexicon says: “It has been an absolute delight to read about and recognise some of the special people around The Lexicon. We are so pleased that we can make eight wishes come true. We would also like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.”
